How do I burn candles safetly?

  1. Never let the wax get below 1/4" from the bottom.
    Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep lit candle in sight at all times!
  2. Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire, like loose papers, fabric, bedding, books, drapes, decorations, etc. Play it safe and give your candle nice clear area to sit on.
  3. Keep lit candles away from drafts- open windows, air conditioners, vents, fans, etc.
  4. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
  5. Extinguish the flame if it becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Trim the wick and check for drafts before re-lighting.
  6. If there is any chance you might doze off to sleep, blow out your candle immediately!
  7. Wait until the flame extinguishes completely and clears of smoke before replacing our topper lid.
  8. If you’ve created a large wax pool during your burn, blow it out gently to avoid wax splattering.
  9. Don’t try to take a selfie while holding a lit candle (guilty…)
  10. Never let the wax get below 1/4" from the bottom.

What are your tips for candle-burning perfection?

  1. GET MELTY WITH IT: Unlike 100% soy candles which can develop a memory ring and will tunnel, Coconut blended candles don’t do that as much. Some initial  "hang up" on the sides of the jar is normal, but as the wick burns, the sides of the jar heat up and melt the rest of the wax.
  2. SNIP THE WICK: Wicks are happiest when they are at a very short (⅛ inch) height. After your first burn, use a pair of scissors/nail clipper/wick trimmer to trim the wick to the right length, ensuring a steady, ash-free flame.
  3. KNOW WHEN TO BLOW IT OUT: We recommend burning for no more than four hours at a time. And, when you get towards the end don’t burn all the way down: swap your candle for a new one when 1/4 inch of wax remains.
  4. DON'T TRASH YOUR TREASURES: We’ve used our containers to hold pencils, makeup brushes, hair things or what have you. You’ll want to remove the remaining wax by placing the candle in your freezer for a few hours.

Are your candles clean?

Yes! We work with the top U.S. fragrance houses to develop and manufacture our scents, which contain naturally-harvested and safe-synthetic ingredients. All of our fragrances are free of harmful phthalates, and we follow strict international safety standards by IFRA.

Do you test on animals?

No and NEVER! All of our candles are cruelty-free and vegan.

Why won’t my tracking information update?

Because of the overwhelming amount of packages at shipping facilities this time of year, it is taking longer to get every package scanned at each point in the transit process. Please reach out directly to the carrier if you are having an issue with your tracking information. We at Lux & Nox do not have any additional information besides what is already provided via the tracking information.

I think my package is lost - what do I do?

If you purchased Route Package Protection, you could claim your lost package here. If you did not purchase package protection, please contact us directly at hello@luxandnox.co.

Can I change the shipping address on my order?

If you have not already received tracking information, there is a chance we can change your shipping address. Please reach out to hello@luxandnox.co for more information. If your package is already in transit, you will need to contact the carrier to help with rerouting your package.

Can I change the products or scents in my order?

Can I cancel my order/get a refund?

Yes! We understand that circumstances can change. If you have not received tracking information, please reach out to hello@luxandnox.co for a refund. Refunds will take 3 to 10 business days to process, depending on your financial institution.

I got the wrong scent in my order - what do I do?

We are so sorry about this! Please reach out to hello@luxandnox.co so we can facilitate getting you the correct items. Please note some items may be out of stock. In this case, we will refund you the cost of the item you were supposed to receive.

One of my products arrived damaged - what do I do?

We are so sorry about this! Transit is not always kind to our products. Please contact us directly at hello@luxandnox.co within 7 days of delivery.

My discount code didn't work! or I forgot to put in my discount code!
